Tanea Brooks was born and raised in Owasso, Oklahoma. Brooks became a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader at age 18, after a year as a University of Tulsa dance team member. Brooks also appeared on the cover of the Cheerleaders’ swimsuit calendar. Brooks is a longtime friend of wrestling industry veteran Christy Hemme: before either worked in wrestling, Brooks worked in Hemme's Purrfect Angelz burlesque dance troupe
